We have a new project partner to take forward an exciting and life changing project on behalf of Just Wheels UK. The Deaf Mute institute of Tanzania has been established for over 30 years and is based in Tabora. They have an expertise in hearing impairment but have been increasingly supporting young people with a range of disabilities in their vocational training college. We are delighted to work with them to support young people with mobility impairments. Just Wheels were very keen to give the people we work with, education and training to enable them to create a positive future for themselves so we feel this is a really valuable project for our work and for the individuals involved.
Young people will receive basic numeracy and literacy, and training in one of the following skills
- Carpentry
- Tailoring/ sewing
- Computer skills and book keeping
- Brick laying
- Welding
